Our Story
From MIT to Shenzhen:
Where The Sparrows Took Flight.
The Sparrows started with a café conversation in Beijing in 2023. Josh was catching up with Pan, a Schwarzman Scholars classmate and over the course of a few hours, an idea started to take shape.
The insight was simple: Apple deploys entire on-site teams to manage its China factories. Most startups and SMBs can’t. Between the Apple-scale operators and the DIY solo founders, there’s a huge gap — and a real need for something smarter and leaner. Someone who could act as eyes, ears, and brains on the ground in Shenzhen, without the enterprise price tag.
Josh reached out to Sadie, whose years of supply chain and quality control experience in Shenzhen made her the perfect complement to his hardware development background. Together, they had what it took to cover the full journey, from first prototype to final shipment.
The Sparrows took flight. Small by design, complete by necessity, built to go wherever our clients need us, and stay until the job is done.

Origin of Our Name
Why "The Sparrows"?
There’s an old saying: 麻雀虽小五脏俱全 (Though the sparrow is small, it has all five vital organs).
We might be small, but we’re complete: agile, resilient, and capable of taking on projects much bigger than us.
That’s the official answer, anyway.
